Gratitude: A Powerful Weapon

Silent Time: Time for Gratitude

Sometimes, I think we take a lot of things for granted. We don’t always notice the things that are right there in front of us — or better yet, behind us. You know, there’s a whole day behind you already when you wake up in the morning. If you’re working a job or doing something, you might be thinking that you can’t be grateful for everything because it’s just too overwhelming. But that’s not true — and I’m going to tell you why.

There’s nothing wrong in taking some time for yourself

When was the last time you took a break? Not just a lunch break or a coffee break, but an actual “I’m not doing anything except relaxing” break. If you can’t remember, it’s probably been too long.

Taking breaks is super important for your productivity and general happiness. But most people don’t take enough of them. Many workers live in fear of wasting time at work, checking email and social media obsessively to make sure they’re never seen as slacking off.

Take a few minutes each day to reflect on your good fortune and cultivate positive emotions

How does one work well under pressure?

The good news is that it’s possible to train yourself to think better when you’re under stress. Here are three simple strategies for building the habit of staying cool, calm, and collected:

Be thankful. Take a few minutes each day to reflect on your good fortune and cultivate positive emotions. Studies show that people who do this tend to be less stressed and happier overall.

Breathe wisely. When you’re feeling anxious, your body goes into fight-or-flight mode. As a result, you breathe faster, your muscles tense up, and your heart races. You can counteract these effects by doing breathing exercises. Sit up straight and close your eyes. Breathe slowly in through your nose for five seconds; pause for three seconds; then exhale slowly through pursed lips for five seconds. Repeat until you feel calmer.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be alone if you want to

Humans are social creatures, so it can be hard to understand what makes some people want to spend time alone. But if you’re one of those people, there’s nothing wrong with it — and here are 5 reasons why you should embrace your desire for solitude.

  1. You have independence
  2. You’ve got time to think things through
  3. You can appreciate the company of others more when you’re alone
  4. You can accomplish more when you’re alone
  5. There’s no need for small talk!
Conclusion

Gratitude is one of the best feelings you can have, and it can breed so many other good feelings. It’s like a chain reaction — when you’re thankful for something, it makes you want to do more things to make yourself feel better and more grateful.

How You Get Things Done When the Timing is Not Right?

How You Get Things Done When the Timing is Not Right?

You must remember that when you need to get things done, a good motto is “better done than none.”

Too often, when we have a goal or a vision in mind, we hesitate. There are so many fears rooted in your mind that it makes it difficult even to begin. Getting things done is put on hold when they believe it is not the right time for many people.

There always is a reason or an excuse to put off your action items, goals, or check off a to-do list. You must remember that when you need to get things done, a good motto is “better done than none.” There’s nothing worse than waiting to start something until you have the perfect setting.

The Timing Will Never Be Perfect

The need to wait for the right time is likely driven by the need for perfectionism. Perfectionism is when you need everything to be perfect in all that you do and how you look. There is a level of perfectionism that can be positive, but perfectionism can be crippling if it’s all you think about wanting to get things done, and waiting until the perfect time can hold you back from your successes.

You must throw perfection out the window when you want to accomplish anything. It’s not easy to move past perfectionism, and it does take time, but you can take little actions to move forward. You cannot hope to achieve anything without pushing forward with your motivation. If you do not start, you have nothing. It never has to be perfect; you just have to start.

The Fear of Failure

In many ways, hesitating to start or waiting until the perfect time has a lot to do with the fear of failure. Failure is a vital part of life. We struggle with failure because society and our culture frown upon failure and don’t see it as a gift. Success happens only truly after we try, and we fail repeatedly.

A great example of how failure impacts us is by looking at how we began life with no outside influences. As a toddler, we learned to walk by getting up and trying. We fell so often, yet we kept getting back up until we figured it out. How is it that when we reach adulthood and fail, we want to give up and ultimately stop trying?

Try and Do Your Best

It doesn’t matter how you do it. It just matters that you do it in the end. When something is not going as planned, or you fall, or you fail. You need to sit up and evaluate how you can get it done. Start to think of your options, assess how you have been working towards your goal, and think about if there are any ways to do it better. Is there anything you can change or adjust?

Whatever you are working towards won’t be perfect when you first start out. Compounding effect works on actions, not on intentions. Compounding intentions will not compound into success. If you move forward and take action, even the smallest movement, you improve daily. Whatever you are working towards, you must act regardless of the inevitability of failure. Just be true to yourself about what could be done better, and these small steps can help you on the path to success.

How Brave Are You to Stand Up for Your Opinion?

How Brave Are You to Stand Up for Your Opinion?

Successful people know that their opinion is valid. They are sure to stand up for what they believe in. Knowing how to express your opinion is an important life skill and will lead you to success.
It’s important to stand up for what you believe in, even if it means standing out from the crowd. Your ideas could be revolutionary and even if they’re not, standing up for them will make you feel more confident in yourself. It can be difficult to know where to start with your opinion.

Whether you’re at the workplace, school, or just life in general, there will be times when someone will tell you what to do or what to think. There are many ways of handling these situations, but one of the most effective ways is as simple as learning how to say “No” even if everybody does not agree with you.

The importance of opinion

Having your opinion is an integral part of the human experience. We’ve been expressing our opinions since the beginning of time, and it will be a life skill you use for the rest of your days.

Expressing one’s opinion is one of the vital ways for a society or a certain community to progress. Say we are a pool of entrepreneurs – a community composed of investors, each of us is privileged to voice out what we stand for not only essential for igniting innovation and development but as well as defining the character each of us has. It also manifests how well we are aligned with our core values.

How to express your opinion

If you disagree with what someone is saying or doing, you should say something about it. Especially if the person in question is in a position of power and their actions could have an impact on many people. You might not change their mind, but at least they will know that you care about the issue and want them to do something about it.

So how do you express your opinion?

The best way to go about expressing your opinion is by starting with making a statement, then explaining why you feel that way, and giving an example of what has led to this conclusion. This helps the other person understand where you are coming from, as well as showing them an example of what they should be considering.

There are times when you have to speak up and be a leader, even if that means disagreeing with your boss or business partners. It’s not always easy to do this, but it is guaranteed to lead to success. Many people don’t feel like they can take risks because of the fear of losing their job or being left out by friends. These feelings are very understandable. However, the reality is that, for us to live a creative and successful life, we need to be able to take risks.

Some people like to try and speak for others, but it’s better to stand up for what you believe in. Speaking up for yourself leads to success.

Here are five things standing up for your opinion would be beneficial for your personal and professional growth:

5 Benefits of Standing Up for Your Opinions

  1. Boosts your self-confidence
  2. Develops a strong sense of character
  3. Enhances critical thinking
  4. Builds Integrity
  5. Helps you become more independent

Conclusion

“Your opinion of yourself is your most important viewpoint. You are infinitely greater than you think you are.”

Many benefits come with being able to stand up for your opinion. For one, people will respect you more when they know you have strong opinions. Your thoughts and feelings matter. You’ll be confident in yourself because you’ve shown your beliefs can be trusted. Also, by standing up for your opinion, you’re opening the door to new perspectives and opportunities. Sometimes people disagree with your opinion, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t valid. When you stand up for what you believe in, you make it clear that people should take you seriously.

Thinking critically and standing up for your opinion is a skill that will help you in any and every scenario you might find yourself in. Whether it be a heated sales pitch or a simple disagreement, the better you are at thinking critically and asserting your opinion, the more successful you will be.

Find your tribe effortlessly and you’ll be surprised that your core values are aligned. Get to know more about how standing up for yourself will lead to success in your investment, business career in general.

The Power of Good Friends

The Power of Good Friends

“Tell me who your friends are, and I tell you who you are.” Identity itself revolves around the kinds of people you hang out with and spend most of your time with.

When you hang out with people who spend most of their time playing computer games, you are more likely to be inclined with online gaming. If your friends are studying entrepreneurship, success, investments, and business opportunities, you would want to succeed and grow with your career too.

Friendships reflect the things that interest you the most and the values that matter to you.

Thus, it is vital that you select the good ones to help you grow in your personal and career development.

What makes a good friend?

Upon reaching adulthood, we notice that the circle of friends reduces over time. It gets more complex to find “good friends” in your 20s to 30s. There can be acquaintances, but it is rare to find ones you can count as true friends.

You are not missing out on anything when you are busy working on your goals and dreams. Your priorities are leaning toward long-term goals now. You only want to spend your time, money, and energy more wisely.

A good friend should be your asset and not a liability. They make you feel at peace instead of making you feel bad or causing unnecessary drama. True friends genuinely love celebrating your success, so they biome a part of it. They know your time’s importance and do not demand you more than you can give. They support you and believe in your major life decisions.

Your friends give you that extra push when you most need it. At times, it is as if you are privileged to have a life coach for free. The real ones accept you the way you are and whom you are becoming.

How Good Friends are Best Influencers for Your Success

Studies reveal that your chosen friends can influence your financial goals, career opportunities, work performance, and life success in general. The essence of building a friendship is to improve our way of life. We can agree that life experiences become better and more exciting with friends. Research also suggests that having friends boosts resilience, making it easier to bounce back. A solid relationship and support from them greatly influence your career.

Here are proven ways that your friends can help you get the most of your personal and professional life:

  • Friends are great motivators.
  • Friends reinforce your self-control
  • Friends help you improve your performance at work
  • Friends expand your network that leads to more success
  • Friends make you healthier and happier

“Some friends do bring out the best in you, and so it’s good to invest in those friendships.” – Bill Gates.

7 Qualities of Friends Power Tool for Success

  1. Authentic
  2. Loyal
  3. Empathetic
  4. Non-Judgmental
  5. Low-Maintenance
  6. Respectful
  7. Honest/ Trustworthy

The first part of the solution is to create a culture around solid friendship. Those who do not understand your life changes are filtering themselves out of the circle you once had. Old companies start to fall apart, but the real ones stay, and new ones will come. By now, you can now discern the good friends from the people that you’re better off without.

Conclusion

The power of having good friends is genuinely heartfelt. It is essential to achieving your dream legacy as an entrepreneur or a business partner. At the same time, it is excellent for your health and happiness. Build a circle of friends who talks about investments, business ideas, personal growth and long-term goals. Success is within reach when you have terrific friends that got your back.

Cheers to true and long-lasting friendships!

The Power of Saying Sorry

Are you prepared to act now and subscribe to our newsletter?

Posted by: Core Team, LegacyBuilders Global

The Power of Saying Sorry

Apologies can stir up complicated feelings. Many factors can contribute to how you feel about apologies that may not align with how others think about apologies. Many people had childhoods where they were forced to apologize, and others were shamed whenever they made a mistake, and an apology was never good enough. Among these can develop deep-rooted issues with apologies.

In personal and professional relationships, it’s essential to have established trust and a line of open communication. In a business partnership, trust is vital and built on small actions, words, thoughts, and intentions. When that trust is broken through, even a simple mistake made, you need to own up to it, admit you are wrong and offer an apology to help repair the relationship and have the ability to continue to do business.

Why Apologies Are Difficult

For many people, apologies are difficult. They feel like it’s not just an admission of being wrong. It is an admission that there is something wrong with them. Many people feel ashamed when they make a mistake or are wrong.

Many times, these feelings are brought on through the person’s upbringing. As children, they weren’t allowed to express their emotions, and if they made mistakes, they were often yelled at and disciplined, which caused them to look for ways to hide them instead of admitting their mistakes.

The Six Elements of Effective Apologies

All apologies are not created equal. When you apologize, you want to be sure you are sincere. In a psychological study, it was found that there are six elements to an effective apology.

  1. Express regret
  2. Explain what went wrong
  3. Acknowledgment of responsibility
  4. Declaration of remorse
  5. Offer of restoration
  6. Ask for forgiveness

The study essentially states that if you would like to repair partnerships or relationships, you must do your best to include as many of these six elements as possible. The most important of these that matter most is the acknowledgment of responsibility. Taking ownership of your mistake is critical.

Healthy Benefits of Apologies

Apologies make us feel vulnerable, but they can also help build the foundation for stronger relationships, personal and professional. In a business relationship, it is imperative to establish a level of understanding and trust.

When you make a mistake that could be potentially damaging and could lose a deal, the other party may be irreparably angry. Unless you have established a solid open line of communication with them and are at peace with yourself in the ability to admit your wrongdoings, you can provide them with a sincere apology.

After an honest apology, the other party is usually forgiving, and tension is released. You could potentially save the business relationship and make it stronger. Apologizing and admitting wrongdoing is a show of strength in character.

With any mistake, you can feel the stress, guilt, and tension within the partnership, and the other party certainly has those feelings, including hurt and anger. Saying “I’m sorry” allows you to reflect and consider the impact of the apology and work to ensure the person understands and feels better knowing you are working to repair the relationship.

Conclusion

The power of saying sorry in a business partnership is profound. It can help repair broken relationships, open up the doors to healthy communication, and acknowledge their feelings, which lets them know you care about the partnership and would like to continue working with them. Trust is fundamental to your success, your team, and your business partnerships.
