How to Build Your Self-Confidence

Self-confidence is one of the most powerful tools you can have to gain success. Self-confidence can single-handedly change your life and is one of the most important fundamentals for everything. Having self-confidence is where growth begins. Once you reach a level of composure, you become more assertive to step out of your comfort zones.

Being self-confident does not mean you have to be superhuman. It means that you can use it to your advantage in your professional life and personal life. This way, it will be easier to reach your target goals.

The Importance of Self Confidence

Confidence can affect every aspect of your life. When something brings you down, you can build yourself up to be even stronger. The more you strengthen your self-confidence, the harder it will be for others to take you down. Most people will be overwhelmed by your presence, and they will likely not even try.

The benefits of having a healthy, self-confident self will extend throughout your professional career and in your personal life. Confident people perform well under pressure, are capable of influencing others, tend to be strong leaders with an executive presence, are more optimistic about themselves and life, are free from anxiety and fears, and have the motivation and strength to take action.

Decision Making and Self-Confidence

Decisions can come with a lot of fear, self-doubt, self-criticism, changing your mind, and not following through when you don’t have much confidence in yourself. When you begin to grow your self-confidence, you will feel more secure in your ability to make critical decisions. The only way to truly become self-confident in your decision-making is to learn to quickly make decisions and accept the consequences, no matter how big or small and stand by your decision. Making decisions is the easy part. Living with the results is challenging. Work to limit your beliefs and begin to trust yourself.

How to Build Self Confidence

Building self-confidence takes time and perseverance, and a shift in your mindset. You can implement strategies to help you learn to have more confidence in yourself.

Fear can take hold of your self-confidence and the most significant contributor today that can halt your successes is the fear of what people think of you. When you begin to understand that this is not important to your journey and learn not to adapt your goals based on what people think of you, you build your self-confidence.

Confidence allows you to stand your ground and express your genuine opinions, and success will come naturally.

Hand in Hand with working not to care what others think of you, you should work to stop comparing yourself to others. You are an individual with your own sets of talents, skills, and personality, and you should own that. The more you compare yourself to others, the worse you will feel about yourself and take you in the wrong direction.

Conclusion

Self-confidence helps you grow if you are willing to work on it, except that you have to make decisions, learn that not everybody will love you (and that is okay, you won’t love everybody either), believe in yourself, and believe in your goals. You will see that your self-confidence grows step by step.

The Power of Saying Sorry

The Power of Saying Sorry

Apologies can stir up complicated feelings. Many factors can contribute to how you feel about apologies that may not align with how others think about apologies. Many people had childhoods where they were forced to apologize, and others were shamed whenever they made a mistake, and an apology was never good enough. Among these can develop deep-rooted issues with apologies.

In personal and professional relationships, it’s essential to have established trust and a line of open communication. In a business partnership, trust is vital and built on small actions, words, thoughts, and intentions. When that trust is broken through, even a simple mistake made, you need to own up to it, admit you are wrong and offer an apology to help repair the relationship and have the ability to continue to do business.

Why Apologies Are Difficult

For many people, apologies are difficult. They feel like it’s not just an admission of being wrong. It is an admission that there is something wrong with them. Many people feel ashamed when they make a mistake or are wrong.

Many times, these feelings are brought on through the person’s upbringing. As children, they weren’t allowed to express their emotions, and if they made mistakes, they were often yelled at and disciplined, which caused them to look for ways to hide them instead of admitting their mistakes.

The Six Elements of Effective Apologies

All apologies are not created equal. When you apologize, you want to be sure you are sincere. In a psychological study, it was found that there are six elements to an effective apology.

  1. Express regret
  2. Explain what went wrong
  3. Acknowledgment of responsibility
  4. Declaration of remorse
  5. Offer of restoration
  6. Ask for forgiveness

The study essentially states that if you would like to repair partnerships or relationships, you must do your best to include as many of these six elements as possible. The most important of these that matter most is the acknowledgment of responsibility. Taking ownership of your mistake is critical.

Healthy Benefits of Apologies

Apologies make us feel vulnerable, but they can also help build the foundation for stronger relationships, personal and professional. In a business relationship, it is imperative to establish a level of understanding and trust.

When you make a mistake that could be potentially damaging and could lose a deal, the other party may be irreparably angry. Unless you have established a solid open line of communication with them and are at peace with yourself in the ability to admit your wrongdoings, you can provide them with a sincere apology.

After an honest apology, the other party is usually forgiving, and tension is released. You could potentially save the business relationship and make it stronger. Apologizing and admitting wrongdoing is a show of strength in character.

With any mistake, you can feel the stress, guilt, and tension within the partnership, and the other party certainly has those feelings, including hurt and anger. Saying “I’m sorry” allows you to reflect and consider the impact of the apology and work to ensure the person understands and feels better knowing you are working to repair the relationship.

Conclusion

The power of saying sorry in a business partnership is profound. It can help repair broken relationships, open up the doors to healthy communication, and acknowledge their feelings, which lets them know you care about the partnership and would like to continue working with them. Trust is fundamental to your success, your team, and your business partnerships.

YOLO: Your Once in a Lifetime Opportunity

YOLO: Your Once in a Lifetime Opportunity

“You only live once”. Go cliff diving, eat a whole pizza, or buy your first property at the age of 23!

Why do people dare to do these things?

What have you dared to do lately to fulfill your dreams?

YOLO means doing something fun and reckless to get a sense of adventure. Some call it irrational and impulsive. They say it could leave you broke: your bones or your savings. But in more positive regard, the YOLO mindset is about going past the what-ifs of the opportunities you wish you haven’t missed. Your Once in a Lifetime Opportunity (YOLO) suggests prioritizing to take action — pursuing the things that you wanted and needed to do. It is about seizing the day to live an extraordinary life.

In entering property investments or doing a 360-degree turn in your career, it is very often that the beginning could be challenging. I can understand the concerns of investors. Along the way, many factors could affect before one fully dive-in naked into the business: fear, criticisms, and other people’s opinions. But if you go back to your intentions and your core values, you will be reminded that your intentions are good and aligned with the things you have always dreamed about.

Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying

Talking about having only one life, this means how you make every waking hour of your life count. Every day we are given 86,400 seconds and it is our choice what to do with it. Either you keep the life that only gets you by or decides to set yourself free from the rat race. Doing things targeted to your dreams makes you feel motivated and more alive. While, when living in hate, fear, envy, regrets, bad habits, and negativity, these are a complete waste of time and energy. It makes you busy dying and does not go to help you succeed. Therefore, I have listed five things successful people do to live life to the fullest.

1. Choose the right team

You become whom you hang around with. As an investor, employee, manager, or a normal individual, it is necessary to learn how you build your team. The right people are the ones that support your dreams, raise your energy levels, make you feel great, and most importantly, align with your values. Your partners in building your dream should not drain you out but help you grow. It’s time to hang around with winners to become a winner in life yourself.

2. Work with a Plan

Successful people plan because, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” right? Remember that we want to make each day count. And the best way to maximize time is to plan. Set your agenda for a daily basis that’s good, but it’s also wiser to see it on a longer-term scale. Plan your daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets ahead of time. This way, it becomes easier to track progress and have a better visual of how you are winning with your goals.

3. Stop worrying about things out of control

Successful entrepreneurs, take ownership, while the broke people become victims of their circumstances. Do not worry about the things you cannot control so that you can give more time and energy for yourself to take control of the things that you can.

4. Focus on the present moment

Losers always dwell on the past and imprisoned themselves in it. Successful people don’t stick themselves with loss and regret. They take full accountability every single day. If yesterday is not a good day for business, they move forward and tell themselves that today is another day to turn things around and make the best out of it.

5. Does not compare achievement to others

Don’t focus on what other entrepreneurs, investors are doing. Where the focus goes that’s where the energy flows and the results will show. Focus on what you’re doing and be a hundred percent present in your craft. Be the best you can be, the only person you can compare yourself with is the person you used to be, that is the only race that you can win with.

Life is too short, to get yourself stuck in regret. Too precious, to deal with people that make you feel less alive. It is a now or never thing. At the end of the day, your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is to be able to live.

Living your life, I mean TRULY living your life is the best choice you can make every day. As Robert Kiyosaki said, “Your destiny relies on how you spend your money and your time. Your family’s future will be determined by your choices today.”

I and my team moved past the “what ifs” and starts to see the “what is” in real estate investment. I commit myself to seize the day and dive into the pool of success. Because YOLO!
